Slicers to Connect Multiple Pivot Tables in Excel 2010
Below are the steps to connect slicers to multiple Pivot tableIn our example we have two pivot tables in our sheet.
The first one is showing salary based on EmployeeId
The Second one is showing Salary based on EmployeeName.
We will add two slicers EmpName and EmpId to filter both Pivot tables based on ID and Name.
Below screensot is Pivottable and Slicers Structure.
-So Below are the steps
-Click on your first Pivot table
Pivot Table tools(Menu bar)
Options
Insert Slicer
-Check box (empName and EmpID)
-ok
Now if you click on any filter in the slicer it will filter only the first table
Now in Order to connect filter to Second Table
Click on your Second Pivot table
Pivot Table tools(Menu bar)
Options
Insert Slicer
Slicer Connections
Check Both Slicer added above like in below screenshot.
ok
Now click on any filter in the slicers it will filter both pivot tables.
